Day 3 MONI or DETUSOKO - KELIMUTU - COLORED LAKES - MAUMERE

The best time to visit Kelimutu colored lakes is early in the morning as normally the weather is friendly enough to give you complete vision over the three colored lakes. To experience the sunrise over the lakes is a memorable occasion. Start early in the morning for the sun rise (04.00 AM). The trek to the summit starts from the parking lot for about 2 km to reach the view point. Once your arrive at the summit you'll experience the fantastic wonders of nature. A bright turquoise colored lake in front of you makes think what you are seeing is not real. It looks more like a make up of millions of colours littered with turquoise paint being thrown into a deep crater.

Then trek back to the parking lot to take a car to visit Ranggase - a village in Jopu area with huge Lio traditional houses and Ikat weaving. Along the way you will pass villages with women busy weaving. Take your time to meet locals  in their own villages. Afternoon drive back to Maumere and free program.
