Sea World Club is a hotel built and managed by the local Catholic Foundation in Maumere. Located on a beach on Maumere bay away from the main road, it offers a simple hideaway sanctuary for those who want to experience genuine local hospitality.
The rooms are built in a cottage style amid the lush green naturally grown trees and well cared for garden. Flores grey volcanic sand forms a beautiful beach of Waiara, which is walking distance from the hotel.
Sea World Club is owned by a local social foundation YASPEM that is organizing, leasing and financing a lot of charity projects in the Maumere and Sikka Region on Flores Island. The founder of YASPEM is the retired German catholic missionary Father Bollen, who since 1958 broke new ground in areas such as agriculture and social welfare on Flores Island. He purchased the ailing resort in 1986 with a donation from Germany and is still living here.
