Rebha is a festival when the Ngadha ethnic commemorate the hard years when their ancestors relied on local sweet potato (Uwi) as the main food. Ooo Uwi is chanted repeatedly on this festival.
It is also known as New Year festival according to the local calendar. Dances and drinks are all day long. Relatives and guests from neighboring villages come and join the festival. Rebha is held by turn from one village to the other from December until early February of the following year.
The exact date of Rebha Festival in each village needs to be confirmed to the village elders.
